Haylee Burges is a senior at Lauderdale County High School. She plans to attend The University of Alabama in the fall to major in Pre-Medical Studies. She will also be part of the Living Learning Community in the Honors College at Alabama.
During Haylee’s years in school, she enjoyed making many memories with not only her friends but also her teachers. Haylee’s time during high school was filled with activities, some of which she held leadership positions. She was an active member in her high school’s yearbook staff where she was the editor her Junior and Senior year. She also was very active in her high school’s Drama club in which she was a Thespian member and part of the executive council. Haylee acted in 6 almost 7 plays, some of which she the main actress, in this club she learned lots and made many friends. Haylee was also very focused on her studies; during her high school career, she was in the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta along with many other academic clubs provided by the school. During her school years, she has earned 30+ college credit hours by taking Dual Enrollment classes and also online classes through the UA Early College Program that she will carry with her to the University of Alabama. While enrolled in her Early College classes she was awarded a position on the 2019 UA Early College Director’s List for her high grades and GPA. Haylee will graduate 9th in her class with a GPA of 4.23.
During Quarantine, Haylee has spent time playing with her doggos, sleeping, talking to friends and watching Netflix.
