2020 Senior Spot Light Luke Singletary

Luke Singletary attends Florence High School and will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall to major in International Business.

Luke has enjoyed every second of high school where he learned to grow and transform into the person he wants to be. He has played on the varsity tennis team for the last 4 years where he was a three-time state champion for singles, doubles, and team which was the 1^st state championship in any sport for Florence High School. He has also been the team captain for the last two years. Luke was named the Times Daily Tennis Player of the year and was selected to play in the Alabama North vs. South tennis match. Not only does he love contributing time to sports but also to his school. Luke was selected to attend Alabama Boys State which taught him better leadership and organization skills. Luke was involved in many high school clubs of which he was the President of both The Key Club and Student Council. He was also inducted into the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. Last year he received the Falcon Award for Spanish and also placed honorable mention on the National Spanish exam two times.

During Luke’s quarantine, he has spent time talking with friends on zoom and watching Netflix, but his parents have kept him busy working in the yard too.
