Read on and discover all you need to know to make the most of your newborn photography session!
-
We recommend scheduling your session while you're still pregnant, aiming for a session when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old. Babies at this age are sleepier and more flexible for those adorable poses.
-
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 14 days after birth because babies at this stage are sleepier, have shorter wake windows, and are less likely to experience colic. This makes it easier to safely pose and capture those peaceful, curled-up newborn poses. After two weeks, babies begin to gain muscle tone, become more alert, and their wake windows increase, making it harder to achieve the same results.
However, we understand that life can sometimes get in the way, and extenuating circumstances (such as medical issues or family emergencies) may prevent you from booking within this time frame. If this is the case, please reach out to us directly, and we will work with you to accommodate your session in the safest and most comfortable way possible.
-
Your baby’s safety is always our top priority. We use a baby-led posing approach, carefully watching hip, shoulder, and neck positioning to keep your little one comfortable at all times. We never force poses and tailor each session to your baby’s needs. You can also rest assured that we will never attend a session if we are sick, even with a minor cold. With years of experience photographing newborns, we create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for both baby and family.

The total session fee of $250 includes:
- A personalized 2-hour newborn photography session.
- 15–25 fully edited digital images delivered through an online gallery.
- Access to a variety of props and setups during the session. Our standard is two setups for your session.
-
Yes, while the session fee includes digital images, you can purchase high-quality prints separately to preserve your memories in physical form. These are available in your online gallery and can be drop-shipped to your home. Share your gallery with relatives... they love this option!
-
Our newborn sessions typically last 2 hours, giving plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing to ensure your baby feels comfortable throughout the session. If you book a family photo add-on, expect your session to take an additional 30 minutes.
-
Before the session, try to keep your baby awake for a little while and feed them just before arriving. A full, sleepy baby is much easier to photograph!
-
We understand that babies can be unpredictable. That's why we’ve built extra time into the session to accommodate feeding, changing, and soothing. If needed, we’ll take breaks to ensure your baby is comfortable.
-
We encourage you to bring any special items you'd like to include in the photos, such as blankets, stuffed animals, or heirlooms. If your baby has a favorite toy or pacifier, that’s great for keeping them comfortable during the session. We’ll provide a variety of wraps, headbands, and other props.
-
Yes! Family portraits can be added to your newborn session for an additional $50. This add-on can be selected when booking your session.
-
After your session, we will provide 15-25 images within 10 days for you to download. These will be available through a private online gallery for 30 days.
